Sfiso “Mabena” Mashiane

Sfiso “Mabena” Mashiane from the dusty streets of Elandsdoorn in Moutse is a young promising soccer player. “Mabena” as they call him in the field of play, started his career from a very young age, when he was 10 years.. He is staying with his 4 siblings, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. His parents passed away when he was still very young. Sfiso started his schooling at Ekucathuleni Secondary School and later went to OR Tambo High School where his currently in grade 11. When his mother passed away he lost interest in soccer and started attending drama classes at Ndlovu. He said Ndlovu played a very critical role in his soccer career because it provided him with an opportunity to gym and practice at the Gym and Sport center for free and supported him with other needs to become a professional player.
Sfiso entered the Netbank Ke Yona challenge he was called for the trials held in Polokwane where he performed very well. He made it to the top selected players that will play against the Free State Stars and stand a chance to be called to play for one of the First division teams. His coach Vusi Matjeka said Sfiso is a very disciplined young boy and the most thing he like about him is that he can push himself, he has stability and his self-driven. He also believes that Sfiso will go very far in soccer with a proper guidance.
In his career Sfiso played for Ndlovu Soccer team, Bacelona FC in Mintrilose, and his currently playing for Dennilton City FC. At the moment he is training very hard and feels very fortunate to have Nldovu Care Group on his side, he train four times a week at the Ndlovu Gym. He said his success was made possible because he decided to focus on his school and soccer, he does not hang around taverns and corners of the street till late. He would like to encourage other young people to do the same, and his massage is very clear is that they should not give up on their dreams because nothing is impossible. The youth of Moutse should make use of Ndlovu facilities like the chill hub because here you get the best advises and guidance, he said.
