One Chamber Choir conducted by Lim Ai Hooi, a highly recognized and respected conductor and educator in the Singapore and international choral scene together with the Ndlovu Youth Choir under the direction of choirmaster Ralf Schmitt who has worked with many artists and composers both here in South Africa and international created fireworks for the community people of Moutse on the chilly day of 15th July 2018.
The day started with both choirs’ rehearsing collaboration songs and followed by the tour to Ndlovu facilities, from the Ndlovu Miracle theatre, the Ndlovu Clinic, the Ndlovu gym and Chill hub. The Singapore choir members where very impressed and amazed to see the work Ndlovu is doing for the community of Moutse.
Moutse community experienced an amazing concert of its kind when “Singapore meets Moutse” a very small rural community in Limpopo Province. Ndlovu Miracle theatre in Elandsdoorn was vibrating with dance and song when the two giants took to the stage performing songs from well-known legend and late Bra Hugh Masikela. It is very rare where a world class choir would take time from its busy schedule to a rural area such as Moutse. Indeed Sunday the 15th July 2018 was a special day for both the young, disabled and old people of Moutse. Words alone cannot explain the feeling and excitement from the community. The day was wrapped up with sharing of contacts and make new friends while and children enjoyed some sweats and gifts from the visitors.
Ndlovu Care Group would like to thank both choirs for their performances and generosity on behalf of the Moutse Community. Ndlovu Youth Choir will be performing again in Johannesburg and Pretoria in the coming days.
